Saturday-Sunday, September 21st-22nd, 2019, 1:00-7:00pm
With more than 20 million North Americans practicing Mindfulness Meditation, and countless studies touting its various benefits, there is an increasing need for movement teachers who can skillfully guide meditation. Yet, when guiding others to look at how their mind functions, and how their heart responds, we must take extra care. Through practice and discussion, learn the many things to consider when inviting your students to turn inwards.
Learn how to incorporate mindfulness practices such as seated meditation, walking meditation, body scan, and self-awareness into your classes, workshops, and retreats. Come away with new tools for sharing these practices, handling stress in your daily life, and an action plan for incorporating mindfulness into your teaching.
Awaken your inner artist, learn how yoga and creativity intersect, and explore tools to develop creatively on and off the yoga mat. Together we'll design action plans to incorporate more creativity into your teaching and life.
Explore yoga teacher career paths and business basics such as private clients, teaching group classes and teaching teachers, specializing, leading groups, offering workshops and retreats. Learn to develop a brand and create an experience, time management tips, ways to balance teaching and your own practice, plus savvy social media and giving back.
