Nutrition Workshop with Andrea Rubin
Saturday, October 24th, 2020, 2:00 - 3:30pm
FOOD CHOICES DURING THE PANDEMIC AND BEYOND...nutrition for you, your family and the environment
Our emotions are often managed by food and beverage choices, as the last many months of pandemic may have shown. As we move into the colder months, spending less time outside and more time back to the stressors that include working from home and possibly also being a full-time caregiver, we need to equip ourselves with the information to make healthier and better choices. This webinar examines our food choices, how and why we make them, and how we can do better for our health, our budgets and the planet. We'll examine food safety, meal planning, food waste and sustainability and a vegan diet as a healthy approach to the future. We'll make peace with our choices so that when we (finally) change out of our pyjama bottoms and get out into the world we'll fit comfortably back into our pants. And to make sure that happens, resources including meal planners, recipes, and other downloadable materials will be included. At the end of this workshop we'll also be launching a 14-day vegan challenge for those who want to participate in a supportive and community approach to moving towards veganism - details and tools to be provided!
