A skillfully woven 75-minute class that explores the dynamic interplay between light & dark, sun & shadow, and enlightenment & death in yogic philosophy. More than the sum of its parts, this flowing practice will impress its resonant themes upon body, mind and spirit. Expect a mixture of dynamic, muscular work balanced against deep rest. Ideal for all levels, including beginners.

Mythic Slow Flow: Divine Embodiment
Sunday November 23rd, 1pm to 2:15pm
A languid 75-minute class that celebrates the role of the divine feminine in yoga. Explore poses inspired by the goddesses while hearing their mythic backstories. The pacing of this class will be slow and steady with opportunities for longer held Yin-style poses. Ideal for all levels, including beginners.

Continued Education: THE ART OF STORY TELLING

Stories, tales, myths, parables and allegories have been used for millennia to communicate universal truths. They have a special way of touching the heart and conjuring a vivid sense of shared experience. At the end of the day, great teachers are great storyteller
Join YuMee Chung for a teacher training module on awakening your innate storytelling ability. Learn how to use stories to support class themes and to weave intention through a practice. Refine your ability to identify and communicate about the universal teachings in your own embodied experiences and build trust in your authentic narrative voice. This workshop will be part lecture, part engaged learning exercises and part practice.

YuMee’s Bio
YuMee Chung, E-RYT-500 YACEP is a former securities lawyer who left a busy practice to engage more deeply with life. More than 25 years later, she is one of Canada’s most in-demand yoga instructors, a consultant, and a columnist for the Toronto Star. YuMee is a teacher’s teacher who sits on the faculty of numerous Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher training programs and leads international workshops and retreats. While she is on the speed dial of physicians, CEOs, and A-list celebrities, YuMee is known as a down-to-earth, kind-hearted and relatable teacher who communicates about the most nuanced parts of the yogic journey with clarity, grace, and humour.
